The Great Legacy
A conceptual editorial project exploring Saudi Bedouin heritage from a surreal angle — replacing the traditional camel with a tamed dinosaur as the Bedouin’s companion in the desert, presented bilingually (Arabic/English) as a print magazine mockup.
The Challenge
The challenge was both narrative and visual: building a completely unrealistic premise (a tamed dinosaur) and giving it the weight of a genuinely serious theme — heritage, taming, ecological balance — without tipping into parody, while writing bilingual editorial copy that supports the idea credibly.
Approach & Execution
Real cinematic desert photography anchors the scene, and the dinosaur character is composited with traditional taming gear (saddle, reins) matching what would appear on a camel, so the idea reads as part of the same story rather than a gag. The result was presented as a magazine/print mockup in matching Arabic and English editions, with subheads written in the register of serious documentary journalism.
Impact
Demonstrates conceptual thinking, visual storytelling, refined surreal compositing, and bilingual editorial writing with genuine depth — a free creative exercise outside any commercial brief.
